Atrocious Movies That Make Me Want To Hurl by Matthew Floyd
Even though I’m enthralled with the gift of cinema, even a self-proclaimed optimist can/will admit to despising some pieces of utter garbage. This list, made up of films that I’ve seen, is in chronological order because I really don’t want to get myself all riled up whilst re-dealing with movies that not only took my precious time away, but also ruined those priceless minutes for all darn eternity. Terrible Movies that Mubi Thankfully Doesn’t Acknowledge to Exist: Brute Island (1914), Less Than Dust (1916), Peck’s Bad Boy (1922), Dorbees – Making Decisions (1998), Rapsittie Street Kids – Believe In Santa (2002)

Disgusting tropes that I eternally hate: animal abuse, endorsement of sexual/physical assault – especially from the perpetrator’s POV, intentional/harmful racism, condoning discrimination, uninteresting prop characters, general laziness on the creator’s part, non-ironic double standards, boring for the sake of being boring, pretension passing off as subversive or edgy, whitewashing tragedies, condoning fascism, manipulative propaganda, child abuse, open mockery of innocents, cynical disregard for original source material, tone-deaf attempts at being hip, unacknowledged/confronted hypocrisy and wasting money/time on horrible projects at the expense of using it wisely.
