Marketing Manager, US

Full Time, New York
MUBI is a global streaming platform and distributor showing a hand-picked selection of independent and international films. We are a passionate team, united by our love of cinema and our belief in its power to bring people together, offer new perspectives, and in some cases — even change the world. We are seeking a highly-motivated individual with a strong background in marketing and a passion for film to join our team in New York and lead our US marketing strategy and execution. You will be an integral part of a small, dedicated team working to build awareness and fuel subscriber growth in the US.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Set the US Marketing strategy and priorities, defining long term goals for growth in collaboration with MUBI’s global VP Marketing 
  • Identify and pursue relationships with optimal platforms, corporate partners, institutions and brands, as well as managing all existing US-based partnerships 
  • Plan and execute campaigns to spur growth/customer acquisition 
  • Support and coordinate with the distribution team on film release campaigns
  • Coordinate with the core digital marketing team on digital campaigns
  • Work closely with the content team to promote MUBI’s  programming and curation
  • Analyze and evaluate marketing activities to determine impact, monitoring and optimizing to constantly improve KPIs

Ideal candidate:
  • Passionate about arthouse and independent film, and knowledgeable of the US independent film sector with extensive contacts across the industry
  • Experience planning and executing digital marketing campaigns; stays up-to-date on trends in the digital marketing landscape 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, highly self-motivated, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinker with lots of ideas, willing to look past easy answers to find the best solution to any problem
  • Impeccable attention to detail and highly organized 
  • Team player who enjoys working collaboratively with cross-functional counterparts 
  • A confident and effective communicator with strong writing skills
  • Analytics-driven mindset, with ability to determine appropriate KPIs, measure and evaluate campaign effectiveness, and optimize accordingly
  • Able to manage a budget and use resources efficiently and savvily
  • Experience managing small teams

Qualifications:
  • Marketing professional with 5-7 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field
  • Knowledge of the film landscape as it relates to key publications and media
  • Basic Photoshop and video editing skills a plus 
  • Ability to speak a second language is a plus
