Marketing Coordinator, New Releases

Reporting to: Director of Marketing, MUBI Releases

MUBI is a rapidly growing global streaming service curating the world’s best cinema. We are seeking a creative and passionate marketing professional with a keen eye for detail to join our team in London. 

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will help the distribution team to craft and deliver exciting and innovative marketing campaigns for our slate of new releases, across theatrical and digital distribution. Past titles have included global SVOD campaigns for Pablo Larraín's Ema and Werner Herzog's Family Romance, LLC, as well as UK theatrical campaigns for Ali Abbasi's Border and Luca Guadagnino's Suspiria among others.

The long-term aim would be for the Marketing Coordinator to manage their own release campaigns. 

Main responsibilities

  • Supporting marketing for new releases, from theatrical to global SVOD campaigns
  • Brainstorming ideas for marketing assets and drafting creative briefs
  • Coordinating outreach to key partners to broaden the reach of our marketing efforts  
  • Drafting copy for the website, digital ads and emails
  • Building email campaigns in Mailchimp 
  • Coordinating the translation process for international SVOD campaigns, collating localised copy from our translators and managing the proofing process 
  • Uploading creatives for paid digital campaigns across Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Google and programmatic 
  • Preparing pitch decks for new acquisitions and campaign round-ups 
  • Ad-hoc talent and event support for releases, in collaboration with the Communications team 
  • Additional marketing support for high-profile first pay window titles  

Who You Are

  • Passionate about quality cinema, from classics to new releases 
  • Interested in expanding your knowledge of theatrical and digital distribution 
  • Knowledgeable and excited about the digital landscape, from social media to streaming 
  • Creative and enthusiastic, with a good head for marketing strategy
  • A strong copywriter and great communicator 
  • A keen project manager who can take ownership of working processes and find ways to improve them 
  • Diligent and obsessed with the details
  • Capable of managing competing deadlines 
  • Dedicated to making every campaign the best it can be 


  • 1-3 years experience in entertainment or creative marketing, ideally in film 
  • Theatrical distribution experience desirable
  • Excellent working knowledge of Google Docs, Sheets & Slides
  • Experience using Mailchimp, Trello, Photoshop and Premiere Pro strongly desirable 
  • Additional languages are a bonus 

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000
