Our take

Informed by Laida Lertxundi’s pregnancy and the birth of her daughter, this 16mm short marks a shift in the director’s art practice. Her visual interest in the landscapes of Cuba and California is woven into a constellation of textual references, incorporating the works of Lucy Lippard and others.
