Our take

Legendary actor Jean Gabin, starring opposite a young Jeanne Moreau, revitalized his career with this iconic gangster film from Jacques Becker. A distinctly French ode to Hollywood noir, Touchez pas au grisbi is an atmospheric classic, and a major influence on Scorsese’s The Irishman.
