Our take

A hidden gem of 2000s Turkish cinema, Toss-Up is an intense character study about two men who return from military service suffering from physical and psychic wounds. Shot using a dynamic digital camera, the film’s hectic, confrontational style powerfully refracts the turmoil of modern-day Turkey.
