Our take

This under-known British gem, set in the U.S, features an early lead role from Viggo Mortensen. One of the few films from the multihyphenate poet-playwright-novelist-musician Philip Ridley, it’s a dark and scintillating take on vampirism, which was stylishly shot by Mike Leigh’s DP Dick Pope.
