Our take

Before hitting it big (really big) with King Kong, Ernest Schoedsack and Merian Cooper teamed up for this cult classic, which, in the tradition of Hollywood’s best pre-Code horror movies, is eerie fun and deeply, wonderfully strange. Co-starring the original scream queen Fay Wray!
