  2. johnp's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

Interesting if only to give an idea of a side to Israeli life most of us have no experience of. The actual story is bit of a ho hum father/daughter relationship film.

  3. Ale Chuchuan's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

  5. mis marg's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

Enjoyed this in its difficult subjects -father and daughter being out of reach of each other-and even to the inconclusive last refrains (loved the haunting music at the close) Oh! the imperfections of calling in the maternal family, themselves bereaved & somewhat lost in a desert setting, their own adverse events continuing. They rally around, astonishing the girl; back home she nearly smiled that father had prayed.

  6. Andrea's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

A movie about the incommunicability between an emotionally numb father and a depressed daughter, with an appreciable look to Israeli society. The subject and the understated acting are not particularly novel, but it's overall well done.

  7. Federico's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

This is an excelent movie, toucheful, meaningful and fresh.

  8. georgiaonmymind's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

Exemplary is the way in which the director and the actors have been able to interpret an introspection as simple as it is profound of a family relationship and suffering. It's characterized by an increasingly growing understanding, in a delicate climax of glances and silences, and accentuated by the shots of the expressions exchanged between father and daughter, sometimes complicit, interrogative or accusatory.

  9. Morpheus's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

I was thoroughly captivated by the memorable scenes and the female lead. However, it left me less than satisfied. I've been to Tel Aviv and the Dead Sea so I was drawing on my own experiences, feeling the past and present permeate every pore. People do not talk to each other. Superficial exchanges, anger, grief, despair simmering underneath. Just like ground can cave in any moment, so can our innermost selves.

  10. Ramon Colom's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

  11. Carmen's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

Arabic people are not “animals”. Free Palestine.

  12. jj499250's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

This is one of those movies that I can't shake off my mind. Two broken hearts, hurt by the past - try to find solace and make peace. Are they willing to meet midway? Grieving in different ways - this film is a lovely portrayal of a family that grapples with the death of a loved one and does not want to take any more chances. Often at times, I find myself thinking about this film and wondering about the characters.

  13. El Biffo's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

Depressing without being profound or poignant or providing any insight. I guess it's an ok film, but I didn't enjoy it much and I have no idea what the filmmaker was trying to say. The best part for me was the scenery of Judean Hills and Dead Sea.

  14. Alex's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

I enjoyed this film – I found it emotionally wrenching and heartfelt. I think I would have enjoyed it more if it had been told from the point of view of Roni, though.

  15. Nestor Santacroce's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

  16. Spezialle_K's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

Wonderful filmmaking. A powerful piece about dealing with aftershocks of loss. Lovely direction with original flourishes, tight acting, breathtaking scenery and a gorgeous soundscape and soundtrack. Loved the Tel Aviv skyline/fairground contemplation moments. I wanted this one to last longer and now really want to see this director move onto a 3 hour, deep, expansive epic, as I’d be there in a flash. 4.5

  17. Gilberto Tedeia's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

  18. Reynaldo Goulart's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

  19. Kevin Matthews's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

A nicely done look at parent-child relationships and, equally, how to try and help someone with mental health issues that may lead to them taking their own life. The script is solid, if often very quiet, and the lead performances (especially that from Zohar Meidan) are superb.

  20. Warren Spratley's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

  21. Pok's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

  22. Stephan Ropert's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

A dramatic movie with subtle humour. A clever direction for a deep subject in a realistic style.

  23. tubbssw's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone

It handles a difficult subject extremely well. The characters of father and daughter are very believable.

  24. Missael's rating of the film The Day After I'm Gone
