No one needs to tell director Michel Franco how close comedy is to tragedy. Rather than blurring the line, this Acapulco-set tale of midlife crisis simply obliterates it. Starring a magnificently placid Tim Roth, Sundown is a transgressive tour de force from Mexican cinema’s preeminent provocateur.
