Synopsis
Vicente a simple and honest shopkeeper, who is desperate as he can’t pay a letter of credit the next day. He humbly asks a few people he knows are well-off to lend him the money, and one by one they all refuse, with lame excuses. Later in the day, Vicente considers suicide: anything but dishonor.
