Our take

The second feature of French filmmaker Jean-Gabriel Périot (A German Youth) deftly handles one of the most heartbreaking tragedies of the twentieth century—the bombing of Hiroshima—with prodigious compassion and care. Watch as the sparks of a fledgling romance fly from the traumas of the past.
