Our take

For his directorial debut, actor Michele Alhaique delivers a satisfyingly slick gangster noir. At the heart of Senza nessuna pietà is a gentle giant, reluctant in his thuggery—but for whatever relief this offers, the outskirts of Rome remain a harsh and cold place to be in this on-the-run thriller.
