ONDINE

A lyrical, modern fairy tale that tells the story of Syracuse (Colin Farrell), an Irish fisherman whose life is transformed when he catches a beautiful and mysterious woman (Alicja Bachleda) in his nets.

With a tempestuous palette whose colors match that of the Irish Sea, Christopher Doyle shoots this retelling of the “selkie” myth from Neil Jordan, back scouring the dark corners of fairytale lore. Hauntingly ambiguous, Ondine has its “once upon a time,” but will it find its “happily ever after?”
