Winner of the Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award, Jim McKay’s En el Séptimo Día is a feat of humane filmmaking. Approaching its non-professional actors with great restraint, this poignant story about undocumented immigrants and food service workers in America is quiet, but packs a heavy punch.
