Critics reviews

A prototypical early talkie play-to-film, hewing close to the George S. Kaufman/Marc Connelly bubbleheaded farce Dulcy, in which Davies is a babbling nitwit fiancée to a young entrepreneur looking to impress a grumpy investor during a country-house weekend. Davies is the goofy glue, but the script provides opportunities for Franklin Pangborn, Raymond Hackett and Donald Ogden Stewart (in his only significant role) to steal the thing right away from her.
