Our take

Better known for his early cyberpunk thrillers, the style of director Sabu has, in recent years, relaxed—especially apparent in this sensitive (yet still hyperviolent!) character study, following an assassin (Chen Chang) whose old self resurfaces as he grows into a father figure to a young child.
