Our take

The debut from award-winning Turkish auteur Özcan Alper, Momi takes place in the Eastern Black Sea region, where the director himself comes from. Narrating the struggles of a young and innocent boy, Momi is a moving coming-of-age tale and the very first film to be shot in the Hemshin language.
