Our take

Earning the Czech New Wave giant Milos Forman his first Oscar® nomination, A Blonde in Love masterfully balances charm and poignancy. Throwing an invaluable light on 60s Eastern European contradictions, it remains a beautiful prelude to the rebelliousness of Amadeus & One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
