Our take

In one of the most impressive of recent NYC indies—and a debut, no less—Josh Mond delicately constructs a low-key, character-driven drama exploring the bond between a mother & son, the former’s illness and the latter’s self-destruction. A hard-hitting, moving, and superbly acted first feature.
