Our take

The Quay Brothers’ debut feature_Institute Benjamenta_ is a pitch-dark adaptation of Jakob Von Gunten, a novella by Swiss author Robert Walser. Starring Fassbinder regular Gottfried John, Star Trek star Alice Krige, and the one-and-only Mark Rylance, this is a truly surreal, mid-90s cult classic.
