Our take

British artist Tacita Dean bends and refracts images of the sea in this mesmerizing maritime short. Shot in a lighthouse using an anamorphic lens, the film captures rotating bulbs, the squawks of seagulls, and subtle shifts in weather to create a confounding and chimerical portrait of place.
