Our take

The debut film from Fernando Merinero is part B-movie, part protest against the puritanism and excessive abstraction of Spanish cinema. With echoes of Almodóvar, Merinero’s jagged, sexy film is a story of obsession, passion, and disinhibition, about being free whatever the cost.
