    "everything happens for reason"

  2. MLSoares's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

You romantic life is completely controlled while at the same time, you still have free will. The kind of control I would think twice about. Happy endings aren't necessary, but definitely welcomed sometimes. Plus, the Smiths tittle

  3. auloel's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

MY HEART IS GOING TO BURST BECAUSE FULL OF RAINBOW. DAMN YOU, SIGUR ROS!

  4. Nabila Cyrilla Imani's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

Mindblowingly depicted how modern romance is shaped via dating app

  5. Rafael Fonseca's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

At some points it briefly touches upon the vacuous repetitiveness of dating in a system (here literalized) where you have to and being stuck (also literalized) in a relationship that you want to leave. Then it goes really nowhere, as usual.

  6. k t's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

So there's me, sobbing over their 99.98% fuck tinder, we all need this simulation, right? oh and thanks for sigur ros, sobbing out loud now.

  7. HKFanatic's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

Considering how much "Black Mirror's" reputation has traded on deep cynicism and nihilistic punchline endings, it's been something of a surprise to discover over the course of the last two Netflix seasons that the show also excels at melancholy romanticism. "Hang the DJ" is Match.com filtered through "The Prisoner," a clever exploration of internet dating culture that owes a great debt to its leads' chemistry.

  8. Chihao Tsang's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

This is why we watch Black Mirror

  9. bryanvmh's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

What if leaving the simulation is the 80s simulation from San Junipero?

  10. c0rny0nmain's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

I kinda hoped that we wouldn't get another positive episode, or at least, it wouldn't be romance-based. Also they don't fully dive down into explaining the technological side of things, it feels rushed at points. But the main couple had great chemistry, so its got that going for it.

  11. BLP's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

"What if actually all the System is doing is wearing us down? Putting us in one relationship after another, in random sequences. Each time you get a little bit more pliable, a little bit more broken, until eventually it coughs up the final offering and says that’s the one." Simultaneously endearing and devastating episode. Not sure about the end though. Both lead actors were super charming and had great chemistry.

  12. Pango's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

Best episode of the season, the best episode since San Junipero.

  13. lidiishere's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

while the idea is not all new, I quite love the plot and its ending.

  14. Dan's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

3.7* Completely charming and only a little bit fucked up. Further proof that Black Mirror works best when it shows us that tech isn't completely dystopian and horrific. But if this is the best series 4 has to offer... it's been a weak return for Charlie Brooker and team.

  15. Chichago_'s rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

It takes a sci-fi thriller tv series to makes me believe in love again. I always wanted to have a certainty in terms of my romantic relationship but after watching this episode, it makes me see the bright and fun side of the uncertainty that love can bring. Definitely my favorite from the 4th season.

  16. smndvdcl's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

A very affable romantic drama episode for the technological age. By no means ground-breaking Black Mirror, but conceptually sound and a great character piece without overdoing the subversive elements.

  17. Levi Miah's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

Charlie Brooker is at his best writing simple romantic relationships, in this tying romantic sci-fi tropes into what, on second watch, you'll understand to be a utopian execution. Beautifully scored with some striking shots and edits.

  18. ig_____or's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

Cute, romantic.... and another happy - or at least hopeful - ending. I enjoyed it, sure, but yet again... not the best of the batch.

  19. Danu Labda's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

    I cried. I laughed. I gasped. I loved it

  20. Renton47's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

The ending sabotages it, raising too many questions about consent + awareness. This really the best means for this end? It has now dipped into the well of violated simulations too many times, if it hadn't already. Most insidious in the way it plays the audience with broad romance, vague anti-system rhetoric, solipsistic satisfactions.

  21. abyantama's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

  22. Carolina Frade's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

The unoriginal San Junipero. Someone who watched The Lobster, The Truman Show and The Adjustment Bureau really wanted to use a Smiths song for no actual reason. Previous seasons where new territory, this season just feels like new stories but with nothing fresh to offer.

  23. Simone Giordano's rating of the film Black Mirror: Hang the DJ

Davvero molto, molto bello e intelligente questo film. Appena cominci a spazientirti perché non riesci a capire dove vuole arrivare, ecco che arriva la perla che, solo come black mirror sa fare, ti da un senso di appagazione unico nel suo genere.
