Our take

Inspired by the works of Robert Bresson, Jaime Rosales imbues this social-realist drama with a striking sensitivity to the minutiae of everyday life. Confronting the dwindling welfare infrastructure in Spain, the film gives a voice to a young generation stuck in a cycle of financial precarity.
