Again Once Again

De nuevo otra vez

Directed by Romina Paula
Argentina, 2019

Romina, on a break from her boyfriend, stays in Buenos Aires with her mother and her son. Trying to figure out who she is after three years of all-consuming love for her boy and a demanding relationship, she sees friends, discovers the possibilities of new love and reflects on her German heritage.

Our take

What happens to a woman when daughterhood and motherhood overlap? Argentine actress and author Romina Paula directs and stars in this deliciously easy-going, autobiographical treatise on the uncertainties of life at 40. Existential feminism, rendered with disarming honesty, intelligence and charm.
