“I didn’t retire after Curse of the Living Corpse; I did go on to do some theater. Then later, it became too difficult. I was married at that time to an actor who was still struggling, and it became necessary for me to make a choice between a career and staying at home. I elected to try to hold the family together and to raise my daughters, Candace and Dinneen, so that he would be free to go on. I began to concentrate on my writing.”
